5 Paleo-Friendly Winter Cocktails to Sip and Savor

Whether you’re hosting a gathering or simply unwinding after a long day, these paleo-friendly winter cocktails are sure to delight your taste buds and warm your soul. 

Let’s explore five recipes that will elevate your winter sipping experience

*note: ALL of these can be created as delicious mocktails too! 

1. Cherry Cucumber Prosecco Spritz

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pitted cherries
  • 1 small cucumber, sliced
  • 1 bottle of paleo-friendly prosecco
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a pitcher, muddle the cherries and cucumber slices.
  2. Fill glasses with ice and pour the muddled mixture over the ice.
  3. Top with prosecco and gently stir.
  4. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and enjoy this refreshing and low-sugar cocktail.

2. Lemon Mint Matcha Champagne

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 bottle of paleo-friendly champagne or sparkling wine

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until smooth.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh mint leaves with lemon juice.
  3. Add the matcha mixture to the shaker and fill it with ice.
  4. Shake well and strain into champagne flutes.
  5. Top with champagne and garnish with a sprig of mint.

3. Paleo Egg Nog

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup raw honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Optional: spiced rum or brandy for an adult version

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, combine the eggs, almond milk, coconut milk, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Blend until smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. For an adult version, stir in spiced rum or brandy to taste.

4. Mandarin Vodka Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 6 mandarins, peeled and segmented
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp raw honey
  • 4 oz vodka
  • Ice cubes
  • Soda water

Instructions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mandarins, mint leaves, and honey.
  2. Add vodka and fill the shaker with ice.
  3. Shake well and strain into glasses filled with ice.
  4. Top with soda water and garnish with additional mandarin segments and mint leaves.

5. Pineapple Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of paleo-friendly white wine
  • 2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange slices
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, and orange slices.
  2. Stir well and refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Serve over ice and garnish with additional fruit if desired.
