Who doesn't love viral social media recipes? Unfortunately, most of these recipes are not worth the hype. Still, on rare occasions, social media gets it right. Below, you will find three of the best viral recipes.

1. Baked Feta Pasta

Pasta, feta, and tomatoes. What more could you ask for in a quick meal? Taking a little over 30 minutes to make, this recipe serves two.

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces dried cavatappi pasta or pasta of choice

  • 16-ounce block feta cheese

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 cup packed, chopped fresh basil

  • 4 pints of cherry tomatoes

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions:

  1. With the oven preheating to 400° Fahrenheit, get an oven-safe baking dish and put the cherry tomatoes in it. Pour olive oil over the top and season with pepper and salt. Toss until are ingredients are combined.

  2. In the middle of the baking dish, place the feta cheese block, flipping it several times to coat it with olive oil mix.

  3. Place the dish in the preheated oven, letting it bake for 35 minutes. The cheese should melt, and the tomatoes should burst.

  4. Salt some water during the baking time and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. You want the pasta al dente. Additionally, reserve a 1/2 cup of water when draining to toss.

  5. After the baking time expires, immediately add basil and garlic to the feta and tomato mixture. Toss and combine everything, including the pasta. Add more basil for garnish and serve warm.

2. Baked Oats

Are you always looking for new ways to eat oats? How would you like to have oats in a cake-like consistency? This delicious recipe also makes enough for two.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder (if making chocolate one)

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup rolled oats or quick oats

  • Cooking spray

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Grease an oven-safe pan with cooking spray while preheating the oven to 350° Fahrenheit.

  2. Combine all the ingredients in a blender for about one minute. You want the mixture to be smooth and blended well.

  3. In the prepared baking dish, bake the mixture for 20 to 25 minutes. You will know when it is done by inserting a cake tester into the center. When the tester comes out with only a few crumbs, it is done.

  4. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes before serving. After it cools, you can add frosting.

3. Pesto Eggs

Looking for a quick, healthy breakfast? Look no further than these pesto eggs.

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium eggs

  • 2 tablespoons of pesto

  • 2 slices of sourdough

  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced

  • 1 teaspoon of runny honey

  • 1 tablespoon of ricotta

  • A pinch of chili flakes

Instructions:

  1. Over medium heat, place a non-stick frying pan and your pesto. You want to allow it to cook for about a minute. The pesto should be shimmering, and you will be able to see the oil separate from the pesto only a little bit.

  2. Add the two medium eggs to the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and allow it to cook for about 3 minutes.

  3. While the eggs are cooking, place your sourdough in the toaster. Remove the toasted sourdough, spreading ricotta cheese over each of the slices. Finally, add the sliced avocado.

  4. Remove the pan from the stove when the eggs are finished. Add the eggs to the sourdough toast, drizzling honey over the top and adding the chili flake.

These recipes are worth the hypes. Get out your pots and pans and start cooking.
